As opposed to fake change, it begins at the root level

Are there any honorable Republicans and Democrats left?

Good morning all. Today I’m going to talk about the PCPs, or Precinct Committee People in both parties. You don’t hear about the internal deliberations of the Republican Party, it’s just the Democratic party making news but rest assured the bovine manure is still there. And I get it, I have seen decades of bad decisions piled up by both parties. Washington, in his farewell address had foreseen this and neither party listens. So where does the solution begin?

Become a PCP or Precinct committee person.

Both major parties enjoy special privileges within the American legal system, but these privileges are still defined by law and as such can only legally be changed from within. To do that, we need people to sign up and show up. It’s not enough to vote out non performing incumbents, Democracy is made by those who show up, and the most IMPACTFUL way to do this is to target your conversations, your best efforts,  your time, your energy, and values to the other PCP’s in your neighborhood and district, so please consider signing up to be a Precinct committee person in the party of your choice. It’s not enough to opine on Facebook, X, Reddit, ect. Your best efforts must be focused with other PCP’s in your neighborhood and from your neighborhood upward to the state committee. Or even consider writing your name, or someone you know, in the spot on the ballot to become a PCP. Only then can real change within the parties begin, and evolve from the grassroots up.

Do you want your local political environment defined by nepotism? Or authoritarianism? Only you can define your local political environment.

There is a nice thing about dealing with your neighbors, you get to know them up close and personal, unlike unauthentic Facebook users who could be located anywhere on the internet.

UPDATE 5/31/26

I found this dated article on how to take over the local party.
