One point I failed to mention is that there is a stage beyond kernel pwnage. That happens when either the firmware level UEFI (Unified Extensible Firmware Interface) or BIOS (Basic input Output System) becomes infected. This type of malicious software is out there in the wild. Remedies for this level of attack get expensive, or throw it away, accept the damage done, and get a new one. There is precedent here. Answer? Because I strongly suspect that, since they manage there own cellular telephone network infra-structure devoted to the Chinese Surveillance State, they command the OTA (Over The Air) update mechanism for updating and upgrading handsets on the fly. And they use this to push surveillance ware upon there populations to keep them obedient drones, devoid of free will. I have lost Cyanogenmod modded handsets here in the U.S. because OTA was not somehow disabled, turning them into bricks. I hate to say it but Trump was right to ban Tik Tok, it’s users are becoming willing participants of the Chinese Surveillance state. China does not fight war like western nations. With over 1,000,000,000 souls, they have numbers devoted to discovering there own 0-day exploits, waiting patiently for the right trigger. China, as it is becoming, represents my worst fear for humanity beyond my time. My admin powers tell me China is listening to me. Actually, I don’t know why China fears me? Just because I condemn the Chinese Surveillance State doesn’t mean I hate China. In face, I would rather help them end this cold war. because this madness must end, or begin to end while there is still free will. Preferably before a nuke goes off.
I once had this crazy idea of building a massive bridge over the Bering Straight from Russia to Alaska. On a previous show I also discussed the danger of cross-continental contamination related to this idea. But now with Ukraine and Russia at war, and a belligerent China, now I am not so sure. Why? I fear unreported damage to our country while our country is still assessing the secrets Trump stole.
